To reduce passenger congestion, Patna airport soon to have a new terminal building

To tackle the burgeoning growth of air passengers in Patna that is expected to touch the 3 million mark by March 2018, the Centre has decided to develop the Patna and Bihta airports simultaneously over the next 3-5 years. Together, it would spend Rs 1,600 crore (approx.) on the development of the two airports in Patna, which will be the first in India to have two civil airports where commercial scheduled flights will operate from both airports within the city.
